Nobles Funeral Home and Crematory announces the funeral services for Mr. Jimmy Hattaway, age 83, who passed away Monday, May 31, 2021, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Savannah. Mr. Hattaway was a longtime resident of Appling County; a United States Army Veteran; a thirty-five-year retiree with Union Camp working as a heavy equipment operator, and a charter member of the Surrency Free Will Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Harville and Lizzy Hattaway; siblings, Edward Hattaway, Orbie Hardin, Eleanor Joiner and Nadine Foster.
Surviving is his wife of sixty-three years, Mrs. Faye Mann Hattaway, daughter, Karen Hattaway White and husband Howard; grandchildren, Charlotte Hattaway White and Elise Tamsin White; siblings, Oweeda Moore, Margie Griffin and husband Emmett and Donny Hattaway and wife Dot; brother-in-law, Monroe Foster.
Graveside funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at 11:00 A.M. from the Memorial Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery with the Reverend Roy Woods and the Reverend Joey Andrews officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service at the Memorial Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Greg Mock, Bill Carter, Tim Varnadore, Kyle Blanton, Jimmy Moore and David Foster.
